SB1 Threaded Coupling (Standard)

A threaded coupling provides strength to a drill pipe connection by being the component that is fixed onto the drill pipe which is used in drilling a wellbore. A thread coupling, or otherwise known as a tool joint, is great at withstanding the tension produced as a result of multiple tightening procedures. This helps in preventing any loose threads which ensure safety during drilling. A number of materials is available for standard threaded couplings to cater to the unique needs of each drill pipe system. To fix a threaded coupling, it may be welded or screwed into the system.
