A standard threaded coupling points to the threaded joint belonging to a drill pipe. It offers great power to the threaded connections when placed directly on the drill pipe. Threaded couplings may also be known as tool joints which are essential during the process of drilling a wellbore. Threaded couplings support the process of multiple tightening processes which may loosen the threads when drilling is being carried out. You may choose to either weld the threaded couplings onto the pipe or screw them in depending on individual setups.
